Since 2017 Jordan has worked within the Healthcare sector in Ireland providing Music therapy & activities for several healthcare providers & recipients.
Working at a variety of specialist units & settings. Including ABI (Acquired Brain Injuries), Dementia Units, Youths, Palliative Care & Geriatric settings.
"Music is a great medicine. Bringing comfort where there is discomfort. Bringing healing where there is pain."
Throughout the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, Jordan continued to work both as a music therapist & carer.
In 2021 Jordan was chosen as a subject by renowned Irish Artist Catherine Creaney for her series on Carers.
As part of a project representing our frontline services & workers, whom battled above & beyond throughout the world Pandemic. "It was an honour to have been chosen to sit for this Portrait & represent my Colleagues. Thank You Catherine Creaney for telling my story, & our story."
In 2022 The portrait was on display in London at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, along side her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Portrait will also be on display at the National Gallery from 26 November 2022 – 2 April 2023. The exhibition will then travel to the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, where it will be displayed from 3 June to 2 September 2023.
Having worked on the frontline throughout the pandemic as a Healthcare worker. Jordan is now the resident Activities Co-Ordinator for Mullinahinch House. Where he continues to practise Music Therapy among other activities. Also providing entertainment and Music therapy at various nursing homes and care settings across Ireland.
